While we wait - a giveaway, and some pictures!

Or, as I like to think of it, re-gifting at it's finest. While we wait for my firefighter to reply to some questions, and for me to finish sorting pictures, here's a chance for you to benefit from my technological un-advancedness. I received a lovely iTunes gift card for which I have absolutely no use. I don't have any iPods or iPhones or, really, anything i, or Apple, or technology related. In honor of my archaic existence, if you, my wonderful friends, family, and readers, could use a $25 iTunes gift card, simply reply to this post and you'll be entered to win one. After the contest ends on Sunday, I'll have my random number generator (my 5 year old) draw a name out of a hat. The winner can email me and I'll mail out the card. Good? Good.

Speaking of random, where were you on New Year's Eve, 1999? I was playing pinochle.

While you ponder that, here's some of the macro pictures I took on my Christmas break:

And last but certainly not least, happy birthday to my brother! (Coincidentally, you can check out his i and Apple and technology related contributions here.)

I had to laugh at your "random number generator" - very cute.

I was 21 in 1999 so I'm sure I was at some bar dancing with 500 of my closest friends.... come to think of it, I really can't remember any New Years being memorable other then last year (we went to Chicago) Funny given the pressure put the holiday for it to be fabulous.

I was a tender 18 years old for NYE 99, having just graduated from high school that June, I'm sure my NYE was pretty tame (compared to subsequent years anyway). I'd just picked up the lovely habit of smoking that Fall, so I'm thinkin I rang in the new decade with my smoker friends and a cigarette. Sooooo classy!

Suffice it to say, ten years later, I think tonight's New Years will be much much improved and more wisely spent. :)

PS: Tell Kyra to just generate the word "Reena" instead of a random number :)

Wow, NYE 99 I was 13...OMG...time has flown. Can't remember exactly what I was doing, but I know I was home with my Dad and sister. A very Happy New Year to you and the family!

It seemed like that year in L.A. lots of people were nervous about the millenium. Everyone I knew stayed home :)

Let's see, New Year's 1999... hmm I think I was at my parent's house. We had out of town family staying. We all stayed up having fun, shooting fireworks, playing games, and maybe a "few" drinks were involved.
